UK & Ireland
· Coverage update
BestSwell now includes 89 additional beaches across 14 countries, taking the catalogue to 427 locations.
Explore Portugal, France, Spain, Morocco, the United States, Australia, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Japan. Search by country or region, save beaches and compare the same forecast hour across destinations.
Built for local days
Forecast clocks, day cards and daylight windows follow each beach’s timezone throughout the year. Comparison columns use one shared clock, with beach-local times in the detail cards. Email alert horizons also follow the beach’s local date.
Models with worldwide coverage
International forecasts use available ECMWF WAM, Météo-France MFWAM and NOAA GFS Wave inputs. Global ECMWF, NOAA and DWD models provide wind and weather, with regional AROME and HRRR inputs where available. Model counts can change by hour and forecast length; only saved inputs are displayed.
Why Beta?
These are provisional local beach profiles, not a claim of validated worldwide beach accuracy. Overall confidence is limited while local evidence is gathered. UK coastal buoy measurements are not attached to distant beaches. Check local conditions, hazards and advice before entering the water.
International forecasts refresh separately. Failed provider batches retain their previous forecasts, with each beach’s own update time. New locations show unavailable until a successful response has been saved.
